Paper and Pen

I know it’s been a while, but here I am again trading my complacency for my paper and pen. Why do things, and thoughts come with more ease? All my feelings I show when I am holding you in my hands. One of the better things I have known.

A scratch pad filled with memories, of some pages lost in time. Come back to me as I fight off sleep, with a heart no longer mine.  I know that I’ve been too long, but here I am again. Asking for another chance, from my paper and pen.

I’ll lay you down by my side tonight, and I’ll dream you through and through. When I awake in the morning’s break. You’ll know I still belong to you, I know it’s been a while, but here I am again. Trading all the emptiness, for paper and pen.

I know it’s been too long, but here I am again. Asking for another chance from my paper and pen.
